What is prediabetes?
Prediabetes refers to a blood sugar level that is higher than normal, and if not diagnosed and managed, could lead to type 2 diabetes.1

Risks
Being diagnosed with prediabetes indicates the starting of progression to type 2 diabetes which will cause irreversible long-term damage to your heart, blood vessels, eyes, and kidneys.
Prevention
There is good news, however. By assessing your prediabetes risk level and making the necessary lifestyle changes, such as adopting a healthy diet, increasing physical activity, and achieving weight loss, you can lower your risk of developing type 2 diabetes.3
